About This Event

In each country of implementation (Turkiye, Slovenia and Croatia), 90 children aged 10-15 have been involved in regular judo training sessions. A judo program tailored for children aged 10-15 combines physical training with ethical principles to provide young participants with a holistic learning experience. The program starts with a focus on fundamental judo techniques, emphasizing safety and proper form. Children learn basic throws, pins, and escapes in a controlled and supervised environment. These techniques not only improve their physical fitness but also develop their balance, coordination, and motor skills. Parallel to the physical training, ethics play a crucial role in a judo program for children. Judo is founded on principles like mutual respect, discipline, and sportsmanship, and instilling these values in young practitioners is essential. Instructors incorporate lessons on respect for opponents and teammates, humility in victory and defeat, and the importance of fairness and honesty. These ethical teachings go beyond the mat, influencing children’s behavior in their daily lives, promoting good sportsmanship, and nurturing positive character development. Overall, a well-rounded judo program for children aged 10-15 not only equips them with valuable self-defense skills but also fosters personal growth and the development of strong moral character.
